Diljit Dosanjh has asked for a nation-wide ban on alcohol stating he will stop making songs about alcohol if that happens. The Punjabi singing sensation said this during his ongoing Dil-Luminati Tour's Ahmedabad leg on Sunday, November 17. Diljit announced of not singing songs on alcohol since Gujarat was a dry state. "Even today I won't sing any song about alcohol. It's because Gujarat is a dry state," he said.ALSO READ:

Diljit addressed the matter in AhmedabadIn a video shared by him on Instagram, Diljit is addressing the crown during his Ahmedabad show. He states that while he doesn't consume alcohol himself, it is very easy for him to tweak the lyrics and still song his songs. But that won't solve the problem. Calling out all the states for not doing enough to stop liquor sale, Diljit said that's because it is a huge revenue generator. He further asked not to instigate him as he's an artiste who quietly comes and does his job, entertains people and goes.Further he sought a nation-wide ban on alcohol, he said the day all the states take the pledge he will stop singing songs on it. Calling out his songs like Patiala Peg was unfair as big Bollywood stars endorse alcohol, are apart of TVCs unlike him, he added.
