Arjun Kapoor hails from a true-blue Punjabi family where food is more than just a necessity; it is passion and a subject of deep discussion. The Kapoors often unite to celebrate special days and festivals. Bonding over food is a highlight. Confessing that dinner table conversations strictly revolve around trying different food combinations, Arjun told Zoom that cinema is not a part of his daily interactions with the family. Arjun, who is celebrating the success of Singham Again, revealed in an exclusive interview with Zoom that all they focus on at the dinner table is the meal served. The actor said, “We don’t discuss cinema at the dinner table.”ALSO READ: The actor’s father, Boney Kapoor is a renowned producer whereas half-sisters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor are into acting. Arjun added, “We talk about what’s kept on the table, that’s more exciting. Filmon se zyada aaj mutton kaunsa bana hai, daal kaunsi bani hai, kisko kiske saath mix karke khana chahiye uspe discussion hota hai. (Rather than films, we talk about the mutton dishes served and explore different combinations with the food that’s kept on the table).” Boney Kapoor turned 69 on November 11. Arjun revealed, “Dad’s birthday was celebrated recently and the conversation was about what new combination of food can be tried. There was a lot of food. We were focused on the chicken and pairing it with a wide variety of sauces. We don’t discuss anything except food.” When asked whether Arjun knows cooking, the actor admitted, “No. For Ki & Ka, I learnt to make eggs because that’s the basic fundamental cooking. For shots, I would break eggs and make an omelette or scramble which I have forgotten now. I enjoyed learning that. The respect for creating food is from watching cooking shows and watching reels on Instagram. I love food, most people do. Khana khana pasand karta hu, banana nahi (I enjoy eating good food, not cooking).” Arjun played the antagonist, named Danger Lanka, in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. His co-stars were Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff. The film released on November 1, 2024.
