Schools in Gurgaon and Faridabad are closed from today onwards. Haryana Government has issued an order in the respective cities to suspend offline classes in Gurugram and Faridabad with immediate effect. As per the orders, schools will remain closed from November 19 till November 23 or till further notice, depending on the pollution levels in the city. The decision has been taken in view of the safety of the children. As per the notice, all schools in Haryana's Faridabad and Gurgaon have been advised shut and move classes to online mode. This includes all classes till Class 12. In Delhi, schools have also been closed and physical classes suspended till further notice. Classes for students of Class 10 and 12, in Delhi, however, are in offline mode. This restriction, please note, is not applicable in Gurgaon and Faridabad. Also, primary classes had already been shut in Haryana late last week due to bad air quality. While some schools have shifted classes online, many schools have announced holiday for students of classes 1 to 5 in Haryana's Gurgaon and Faridabad. Parents are advised to check with respective schools on clarity on the same. Meanwhile, Air Quality in Delhi continued to worsen as mercury dipped. The Supreme Court of India rapped the centre for delay in implementing GRAP IV measures and has instructed states to follow strict measures to counter pollution. SC has also announced that GRAP IV measures will continue to be in place even after the AQI drops below 450.
