On the back of a 3-0 whitewash at the hands of New Zealand, India’s World Test Championship hopes are clinging to their performance in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. KL Rahul who has been tipped to replace him suffered a severe blow as the player was hit on the elbow and had to leave the field. Both Rahul and Abhimanyu Easwaran have emerged as favourites for that vacant opening role.
