The Mumbai Indians batter who is very close to the Indian skipper cannot hide his excitement. "Really really happy Rohit bhai. Was waiting for this moment. I would have reached there if it happened a day or two later."
Rohit alongside Suryakumar and Tilak have been retained by Mumbai Indians for IPL 2025.It is not yet clear whether Rohit will join the Indian team ahead of the first Test which is scheduled to start on November 22 at the Optus Stadium in Perth. India will play a five match Test series as a part of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Gautam Gambhir confirmed if Rohot doesn't make it in time, vice captain Jasprit Bumrah will lead in his absence. The visitors are plying dangerously and will have to win 4-0 if they are to secure a place in the WTC final for a third consecutive time.On the back of a 3-0 whitewash against New Zealand on home soil, the onus will be on India to trigger a turnaround.
