Lokesh Kanagaraj Reveals That Rajinikanth Will Shoot For Coolie From October 15

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently returned to Chennai after wrapping up a schedule of his upcoming film Coolie in Vizag. At the airport, the director interacted with the press to speak about the film, and also revealed as to when Rajinikanth will resume shooting for it.

I want to give a clarity about this. Around 40 days ago, he informed the team that he will be undergoing a treatment. But it was not good to see how many false news spread across various media. Ultimately, Rajini sir's health is more important than Coolie shooting. If he had any discomfort on the sets, we would have cancelled the shoot and the entire unit would be at the hospital with him. It was disheartening to see videos of false news on YouTube."

He also stated that without knowing how Rajinikanth is celebrated, people come up with false stories about them. "I request the YouTubers and Media to not panic anyone. Try reaching out to the concern people to get the full picture," Lokesh added Rajinikanth to join team Coolie from October 15Lokesh Kanagaraj also confirmed that Rajinikanth will take ample rest, and join the sets of the film from October 15.It has to be noted that Rajinikanth underwent a procedure for his heart issue. According to the medical statement, a stent was placed in the aorta using the transcatheter method. After a successful procedure on October 1, he was under observation for two days at the hospital.
