Mahindra XUV 3XO, XUV400 EV Scores 5-Star In Bharat NCAP Crash Tests

Bharat NCAP has released its safety ratings for the Mahindra XUV 3XO and the XUV 400 EV. Both compact SUVs from the homegrown automaker have scored a five-star safety rating from the testing agency. Talking about the XUV 3XO first, it has been awarded 29.36 points out of 32 points in adult occupant protection. In the child occupant protection category, it scored 43.00 points out of 49.00 points. The XUV400 EV scored 30.38 points in adult occupant protection and 43.00 points in child occupant protection. Both Mahindra SUVs, in both categories, scored five stars, resulting in an overall five-star safety rating, respectively.Also Read:

Standard Safety Features On The Mahindra XUV 3XOThe Mahindra XUV 3XO comes with several safety features as standard. The list includes six airbags, electronic stability control, ISOFIX, a three-point safety belt, and ABS with EBD. All these safety features are standard on the Mahindra XUV400 EV, too. Higher trims of the XUV 3XO are available with Level 2 ADAS. However, these driver assistance systems are not offered on the XUV400 EV. Mahindra XUV 3XO Specifications And PriceThe Mahindra XUV 3XO has a 110 hp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, a 128 hp 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, and a 115 hp 1.4-litre turbo-diesel. All three engines are available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. Prices for the XUV 3XO fall in the range of Rs 7.79 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The XUV400 EV is available in EC Pro and EL Pro. A 34.5 kWh battery pack is standard on both. However, a bigger 39.5 kWh pack is available on the EL Pro. Prices for the XUV400 EV fall in the range of Rs 16.74 lakh and Rs 17.69 lakh (ex-showroom).
