Minimum Temperature In Delhi Expected To Drop To 19 Deg Celsius Today, Check AQI In Key Areas Of Capital

New Delhi: Residents of Delhi have been waking up to a slight chill in the air, signalling the upcoming arrival of winter. The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy today, with no rain in the forecast. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), temperatures will range from a minimum of 19 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 35 degrees Celsius on Monday, offering pleasant conditions for the day ahead.

Delhi's Weekly Weather ForecastThe weather forecast for Delhi over the next seven days indicates partly cloudy to mainly clear skies, with no significant impact expected from rain or thunderstorms. From October 15 to October 19, daytime temperatures are expected to range between 33 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius, while nighttime lows will hover between 16 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius. Wind speeds will vary throughout the day, with directions shifting between west-northwest, southeast, and northeast, reaching up to 16 km/h during certain periods. Overall, the forecast points to mostly pleasant weather, with clear skies dominating the latter half of the week.

Delhi's Air Quality IndexOn Sunday, the AQI, on a scale of 0 to 500, was 224, or "poor," with PM2.5 and PM10 as the lead pollutants, compared with 155, or "moderate," the previous day. Sunday also marked the first time this month that the air quality was "poor." The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) is expected to impose a Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) Stage-1 as pollution levels rise following Dussehra celebrations in Delhi. The city's daily average Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 224 on Sunday, according to the 4 PM AQI bulletin provided by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).The CAQM sub-committee on GRAP reviewed the current air quality scenario, as well as forecasts for meteorological conditions and the AQI made available by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM).
