Former India head coach Rahul Dravid was seen at the Royals Cricket Cup organised by the Rajasthan Royals on Saturday, November 9, where he batted against a young girl's fiery bowling. The tournament is one of India's biggest inter-school competitions for girls. Dravid, surprisingly, was beaten by a few of the deliveries from the girls, who successfully impressed him. Dravid's reaction to the balls that defeated his defence has gone viral on social media. He will coach the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025, after being in charge of the senior Indian men's team in a very successful stint. Dravid was visibly in awe of the balls delivered by the school kids, who didn't leave out any enthusiasm in bowling to one of India's best-ever batters. He was beaten twice within two balls, as seen in a video shared by the Rajasthan Royals. Watch the video here:

It was a big moment for the girls, who were playing in the finals of the tournament at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Dravid went on to praise the girls' bowling efforts and also had a word with them later. The former India head coach later presented the winning team with the cheque and the trophy after the finals. Former Olympics silver-medallist shooter Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, who is the sports minister of Rajasthan, also graced the event. Bikaner took home the winner’s trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, while the runner-up team from Kota received Rs 50,000. “Seeing these young girls play with such passion and determination is a reminder of the bright future of women’s cricket in India," Dravid was quoted by the Rajasthan Royals as saying. “Tournaments like the Royals Cricket Cup not only provide exposure but also instil confidence in these athletes to dream big. Congratulations to the champions and all the teams for their hard work and spirit," Dravid added.
