In a shocking incident, two bike-borne assailants tried to open fire at Trinamool Congress councillor Sushanta Ghosh from point-blank range at Kolkata Rajdang area. The attack took place on Wednesday but was thwarted when the 9mm pistol used by the attackers malfunctioned and failed to fire, Times Now learnt. Individuals accompanying the councillor caught hold of one of the assailants while they were trying to flee.
