The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) recently announced that the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) preliminary test 2024 would now take place on December 22, 2024.According to the official notice, it is hereby announced that the Combined State/Senior Subordinate Services (P.A.) Examination-2024, which was scheduled for two days on December 7th and 8th, will now be held in one day on December 22nd, 2024, in two sessions (the first session from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and the second session from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm).The decision comes after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged the Commission to address the concerns voiced by hundreds of protesting applicants. Candidates claimed that the initial two-day, multiple-shift structure was uneven and inclined toward errors. Protests occurred outside the UPPSC office in Prayagraj, with candidates seeking a more fair and effective examination process.The Commission already announced the dates for the PCS preliminary test on December 7 and 8, as well as the RO and ARO preliminary exams on December 22 and 23, respectively.Hundreds of applicants protested outside the UPPSC office in Prayagraj, demanding a change in the exam structure. They argued that the previous format, which spanned multiple days and shifts, was unfair and prone to errors.
