Vedang Raina Calls Ranbir Kapoor's Singing 'Really Bad,' Alia Bhatt Reveals 'Rishi Kapoor Would Ask Him...'

Vedang Raina is currently receiving praise for his performance in Alia Bhatt starrer Jigra. He made his debut with Zoya Akhtar's Netflix release The Archies and now is making fans with his recent performance in the suspense thriller. In a recent conversation, Vedang revealed he is a huge fan of Rockstar actor Ranbir Kapoor. RK is one of the finest actors in the industry today, his last Animal was a huge hit and fans are eagerly waiting for his next, Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana.

Vedang Raina praises Ranbir Kapoor Vedang and Alia and director Vasan Bala appeared at a chat show on Lallantop and talked about their experience, bond and careers. At the show, while Vedang sang, the host jokingly remarked that Imtiaz Ali could make a Rockstar sequel with him. Vasan on this, said, "The BTS for that would be much better. I have been the biggest fan of Ranbir’s lip-syncing in Rockstar. I was very curious to always see the film’s BTS. I was curious to know if Ranbir could sing or not. His singing skills were negative, they were really bad. But that also goes to show how good an actor he is. Being a singer, I also tried to recreate the lip-syncs. Obviously, in the film ( Jigra), it was an exaggerated version, but I wanted to try matching his pitch." ALSO READ: To this, Alia added, "One thing Ranbir would always share was that his father would ask him to sing loudly if there is anybody who truly sung songs, that was Rishi Kapoor." I drew inspiration from Shammi Kapoor: Vedang Vedang then revealed that he drew inspiration from none other than legendary actor Shammi Kapoor. "Before The Archies, I had seen a lot of his videos. My character style was very similar to Elvis Presley, and I thought Shammi Kapoor matched very closely with him. So I drew inspiration from Shammi Kapoor," he said. Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina's Jigra is currently running in the theatres, it clashed with Rajkummar Rao, Triptii Dimri's Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video.
