The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has issued a yellow alert for 18 districts, with some areas like Tirunelveli Ghats expecting very heavy downpours. Other districts on alert include Sivaganga, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Cuddalore, Villupuram, and Chengalpattu. These regions can expect thunderstorms and lightning along with the rainfall.However, Chennai and the northern coastal districts like Tiruvallur, Chengalpattu, and Kancheepuram are predicted to stay dry until November 22, after which moderate to heavy rains are expected. For the rest of the state, normal to below-normal rainfall is likely from November 22 to 28. Chennai Weather OutlookIn Chennai, weather conditions are set to be partly cloudy with moderate showers expected in some areas during the evening and nighttime. Over the next few days, the temperature in Chennai will hover around 33-34 degrees Celsius during the day and 25-26 degrees Celsius at night.
