NEW DELHI: The Haryana Congress on Friday expelled 13 of its leaders for six years after they were found involved in anti-party activities during the ongoing assembly elections .
According to an official statement released by the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC), the leaders were reportedly contesting the elections against party-nominated candidates.
The official statement read: “Consequent upon the receipt of reports through various means of communication pertaining to party leaders/workers having found indulged in anti-party activities by fighting the ongoing assembly election against the party candidates and to curb indiscipline in the party, the following persons are hereby expelled from the party for 6 years with immediate effect.”
