NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his reaction on Sunday to the recently released film The Sabarmati Report . Taking to X, he praised the film's portrayal of events, tweeting, “Well said. It is good that this truth is coming out, and that too in a way common people can see it. A fake narrative can persist only for a limited period of time. Eventually, the facts will always come out!”
The film, directed by Dheeraj Sarna and headlined by actor Vikrant Massey , delves into the Godhra train burning incident of 2002, which led to widespread unrest in Gujarat.
At the time, PM Modi served as the state’s chief minister, and his name has often been associated with the tragic events that unfolded during the crisis.
Released on Friday, The Sabarmati Report is inspired by true events and aims to shed light on the controversial episode. Alongside Massey, the film features Raashii Khanna and Ridhi Dogra in pivotal roles.
Meanwhile, PM Modi is on a three-nation trip, starting with Nigeria, the first visit by an Indian PM in 17 years. He will then travel to Brazil and conclude in Guyana from November 19 to 21.
