Kamala Harris won Colorado and its 10 electoral votes, the Associated Press reported.
The AP announced Harris as the winner at “10:08 p.m. EST.”
Colorado has voted for the Democratic presidential candidate in every election since 2008. Before that, Colorado was considered a swing state, sometimes voting for the Democratic candidate and sometimes voting for the Republican candidate. George W. Bush was the last Republican presidential candidate to win the state’s electoral votes in 2004.
Colorado gained a 10th electoral vote after the 2020 census due to population growth near Denver.
