Ro Khanna says Elon Musk supported Obama but Democrats lost him

Send Push
Rep Ro Khanna at a CNN panel lamented that his party lost the support of Tesla chief Elon Musk just by being indifferent about him, not celebrating him. "I think where the Democrats started to lose Elon was actually personal. We should have celebrated his contributions to electric vehicles even though he was against unionization and stood up to unions. We should have said, Look Starlink..great product that needs to be used. We should celebrate the fact that he's had the first commercial success of private people in space," Ro Khanna said.

"And I think a lot of it was that we didn't celebrate it and he felt offended," Ro Khanna said.

"I certainly think he should not be making jokes about the Vice President. But I think with the Democrats, remember, he was a supporter of Obama, Bill Clinton. And we are the party that is John F Kennedy. That is about innovation. That is about entrepreneurship," Ro said.

Elon Musk has endorsed Donald Trump and will be the part of the administration if Trump wins -- probably a department of government efficiency. He attended Trump's latest rally in Pennsylvania and is now offering people $47 if they successfully get one registered swing state voters to sign a petition supporting the First and Second Amendments of the Constitution.

As Elon Musk is actively campaigning for Trump on X, he made a post on his X that there was no assassination attempt of vice president or President Joe Biden. He took the post down facing flak but recently divulged in an interview with Tucker Carlson that he felt no remorse after posting that. In fact, he added that nobody would bother to try to kill Kamala Harris as because it's pointless. “I made a joke, which I realised – I deleted – which is like: nobody’s even bothering to try to kill Kamala because it’s pointless. What do you achieve?” Elon Musk said. “It’s deep and true though," Carlson said.

“Just buy another puppet,” Musk said adding: “Nobody’s tried to kill Joe Biden. It’d be pointless.”

“Some people interpreted it as though I was calling for people to assassinate her, but I was like … Does it seem strange that no one’s even bothered? Nobody tries to assassinate a puppet … She’s safe," Elon Musk said.
