Vivek Ramaswamy finally finds his reply to Ann Coulter: 'I never thought I'd vote for somebody non-Christian'

Early this year, American author Ann Coulter said she would never vote for Indian-American Republican leader Vivek Ramaswamy because he is an "Indian". Ramaswamy was a presidential hopeful of the GOP until he withdrew his candidacy and supported Donald Trump. Vivek took the criticism with his chin on and now after all these months shared a video calling it the "best commentary on my Ann Coulter exchange that I've heard".

In the video, a woman told Vivek Ramaswamy that she never thought she would like to vote for somebody non-Christian until she met Vivek. "I see what you do," the woman told Vivek and Vivek in an emotional response said, "Thank You for sharing that."

When Ann Coulter made the comment, Vivek praised her for speaking her mind and said he respected her. "Ann Coulter told me flat-out to my face that she couldn't vote for me 'because you're an India', even though she agreed with me more than most other candidates. I disagree with her but respect she had the guts to speak her mind," Ramaswamy said.

Vivek Ramaswamy often quotes from Bible but is a Hindu. In fact, he draws parallel between Hinduism and Christianity and says that his faith gives him freedom. "My faith is what led me to this presidential campaign...I am a Hindu. I believe there is one true God. I believe God put each of us here for a purpose. My faith teaches us that we have a duty, a moral duty to realize that purpose. Those are God's instruments that work through us in different ways, but we are still equal because God resides in each of us. That's the core of my faith," Vivek said when he was in the race.

Vivek Ramaswamy was born in Cincinnati to Indian immigrant parents. Though he was not born in India, he is fluent in Tamil and can speak Malayalam.
