During Wednesday's White House meeting, US President Joe Biden displayed a notably cheerful expression whilst meeting President-elect Donald Trump , leading to widespread social media discussions. Many speculated that Biden's demeanour reflected relief following his party's pressure to withdraw from the presidential race in July.

The two leaders committed to ensuring a seamless administrative transition during their Oval Office encounter, following the disputed conclusion of the 2020 election.

The President said, "I look forward... to having a smooth transition. We'll do everything we can to make sure you're accommodated, what you need," during the brief period journalists were permitted in the Oval Office.

Conservative social media users particularly noted Biden's seemingly positive disposition. Link Lauren, previously senior adviser to Robert F Kennedy, Jr, posted on X, "Biden's never looked happier."
