As Donald Trump thanked everyone in his Election Night/victory speech as he was all set to witness a massive victory, he mentioned his managers Susie and Chris several times and especially Susie. Susie and Chris are Susie Wiles and Chris LaCivita -- who managed his campaign.
Chris LaCivita also addressed last night when Donald Trump turned to them.
"Let me also express my tremendous appreciation for Susie and Chris. The job you did, Susie, come Susie, come here, come here, Susie. Chris, come here Chris. Susie likes to stay sort of in the back, let me tell you. The ice maiden, we call her the ice maiden. Chris come here, Chris, Susie likes to stay in the background. She’s not in the background."
"Thank you and thank you Susie. Look at her. She’s shocked – I’ve never seen her be shocked before. They’ve been, they’re great. Everybody up here is great, everybody up here is very special."
Who is Susie Wiles ?
66-year-old Susie Wiles was a top staff member for Jacksonville mayors John Delaney and John Peyton before she became well-known in political circles. At Trump's campaign, she managed a team of professionals and ensured Team Trump could make a smooth transition to the White House following Trump's victory.
Susie Wiles also worked for Rick Scott's campaign for governor in 2010. She was a senior adviser on Ron Desantis' winning run for governor in 2018.
She described her job as managing several parts of a campaign and orchestrating the mechanics that keep a campaign going. Wiles traveled to Atlanta for the debate, flying to the event with Trump. She stayed with the former president as other campaign aides, and surrogates but she managed to stay away from the limelight.
Who is Chris LaCivita?
Unlike Susie, Chris is a known Republican political strategist. LaCivita first gained national recognition during the 2004 presidential election. After 2021 US Capitol riots, LaCivita emerged as a Trump critic as he blamed Trump for his "lies" for the riots. But he later deleted the post and recently when he was asked by CNN, he said those were not supportive statements. “Retweets and likes are not endorsements. I’m focused on winning the election two weeks from now, and not distractions from CNN,” he said.
