Meghalaya Governor H.C. Vijayashankar participated in the International Vijayadasara Aaradhana Festival at the Udupi Sri Krishna Math on Sunday, November 10. The Governor offered prayers to Sri Krishna and received blessings from the presiding seer at the Geethamandira, where he also received the Anugraha prasada.
During his visit, Governor Vijayashankar, who holds a special interest in Karnataka’s rich Haridasa tradition, performed a ritual at the sacred Kanakana Kindi, paying homage to the revered saint Kanakadasa. He also took a vow in the Koti Geetha Lekhana Yagna, an initiative aimed at global spiritual awareness.
The Governor attended the grand Srinivasa Kalyanotsava ceremony as part of the Vijayadasara Aaradhana celebrations. His presence highlighted the significance of the event, which drew devotees from various parts of India and beyond, reinforcing the Udupi Math’s importance as a global religious and cultural hub.
