The Android 15 source code has already released, and the stable version seems all set to roll out on Pixel phones in the month of October. All these Android OEMs like OnePlus, Samsung, Nothing, OPPO, and many more are all set to roll out their version based on this latest OS. One such brand is Realme, which has now confirmed that its Realme UI 6.0 will be hitting China sometime in October. This might be largely based on OPPO’s ColorOS.

Realme UI 6.0 launch confirmed
  • Realme product manager Kangda Leo confirmed the Realme UI 6.0 will debut in China in October. It will be based on Android 15.
  • As mentioned, the new UI might borrow some of the features of the new ColorOS 15, which is scheduled to arrive on October 17th.
  • Although there isn’t any official statement about its release date, it may be in tandem with the ColorOS 15 sometime next month.
  • The ColorOS 6.0 will sport Android 15 capabilities that were first glimpsed at the Google I/O 2024 conference.

That would be the time when this new OS comes out with compatible phones that will receive this update. We can predict that most of Realme’s modern phones should receive the update.

However, despite not officially coming with the features list, Realme UI 6.0 may bring better and refined system animations so that the whole scrolling experience feels fluid and seamless. The control center and the notification area could be separated just like in iOS. Similar changes are noticed across Oxygen OS, Color OS, and Realme UI.

There are rumors that Realme UI 6.0 will usher in newer AI features. And it’s built on top of already existing AI available on new the GT series flagships. Some of these could trickle down as well to midrange models. The new OS could usher in a ‘Private Safe’, which, going by the name, could be a digital safe in which specific applications that the user doesn’t want to be exposed can be hidden.

Other could be the ability to save favorite split-screen combinations, and OS-level support to archive/unarchive applications. Realme UI 6.0 beta would rollout for select models and later for a mass range of phones with a stable roll-out.
