Key features and color options of the Indian variant have been revealed, with the phone offering six OS upgrades and six years of security updates, an impressive feature for a device in this price range. The phone is designed with the Key Island design element, housing the power button and volume rocker on the right side.

Samsung has officially announced that the Galaxy A16 5G will launch in India soon, although the exact date has not been disclosed. The phone will be available in three color options: Blue Black, Gold, and Light Green. The Galaxy A16 5G is marketed as a mid-range smartphone, and the 4GB + 128GB variant is priced at EUR 249 (approximately Rs. 23,000) in select markets.

The Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is confirmed to receive six OS upgrades and six years of security updates in India, aligning with its global variant. The Indian model will feature IP54 dust and splash resistance, and will include the Key Island design feature.

Samsung has also confirmed that the Indian variant will come with a MediaTek chipset, likely the Dimensity 6300, and Knox Security features. The phone will also feature a Super AMOLED display and a triple rear camera setup, including an ultra-wide lens.

Globally, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is powered by the Exynos 1330 SoC and sports a 6.5-inch 90Hz full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with 1,080 x 2,340 pixels resolution. It runs on Android 14-based One UI 6.1.

In terms of cameras, the phone is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. For selfies, the phone features a 13-megapixel front camera. Additionally, the phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging. Connectivity options include dual 5G, NFC, GPS, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, and USB Type-C.
