Udaipur: A tragic incident occurred on Monday evening in Semda village under the Sayra police station area when a farmer lost his life after his hand got caught in a thresher machine. The deceased, Bhavani Singh, son of Sardar Singh Rajput, a resident of Visma, was separating soybean crop using the thresher machine. Suddenly, his hand got entangled in the machine’s blades, and he was unable to save himself. Gradually, half of his body was pulled into the machine, leading to his death.
Villagers working in nearby fields rushed to the scene to rescue him and, with great difficulty, managed to pull the deceased out of the thresher machine. He was then taken to Sayra Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The police arrived at the scene and sent the body to the hospital mortuary. After receiving a report from the family, the police conducted a post-mortem and handed over the body to the family.
Sayra police head constable Yashwant Singh Jhala informed that Bhavani Singh, a resident of Visma, had set up a thresher machine to separate the soybean crop in his sister’s field in Semda. During the process, his shirt and hand got caught in the thresher blades. Gradually, half of his body was pulled into the machine, resulting in his death.
