The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana has been a crucial financial aid for Indian farmers since its inception in 2019. This Central Sector scheme, fully funded by the government of India, provides eligible farmers with an annual income support of ₹6,000 in three installments. The funds are directly transferred to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts, ensuring hassle-free assistance without the involvement of middlemen.

The much-awaited 18th installment is set to be released before Dussehra on October 5, 2024. Eligible farmers can expect their ₹2,000 to be credited shortly after. However, to receive the payment, farmers must complete the mandatory eKYC process. Here’s a quick guide on how to complete it.

eKYC Process: Quick and Simple

Farmers must ensure that their eKYC is up to date. The eKYC can be completed using any of the following methods:

OTP-Based eKYC: Available through the PM-KISAN Portal or Mobile App.
Biometric eKYC: Can be done at nearby Common Service Centres (CSCs) or State Seva Kendras (SSKs).
Face Authentication eKYC: Farmers can use the PM-KISAN Mobile App for easy face-based authentication.
