LinkedIn Introduces Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, And Telugu Along With 6 Other Global Languages

Microsoft ’s professional networking platform, LinkedIn , has announced a significant update, unveiling support for 10 additional languages . Among these are four Indian languages, reflecting LinkedIn’s growing focus on India’s vast user base.

The newly added languages include Vietnamese, Persian, Greek, Hebrew, Finnish, and Hungarian, along with Bengali , Marathi , Punjabi , and Telugu from India. This brings the total number of Indian languages supported by LinkedIn to five, with Hindi already available for users.

Tomer Cohen, LinkedIn’s Chief Product Officer, highlighted that this expansion increases the platform's total supported languages to 26, enhancing its ability to foster connections among professionals across the globe.

To switch languages on LinkedIn, users can access the ‘Settings & Privacy’ section or select the ‘Language’ link found at the bottom of the webpage. It’s important to note, however, that while the interface language can be changed, some LinkedIn features, such as Ads, help center content, and customer service, may not be available in all languages.

In India, LinkedIn boasts over 135 million members, with an annual engagement growth rate of 20%, positioning the country as its second-largest and fastest-growing market.

In related news, LinkedIn’s recent privacy policy update revealed that the platform is now using user data to train AI systems without requiring explicit user consent.
