I'm a Celebrity bosses bringing back beloved extra show four years after axing

bosses are set to resurrect spin-off show, Extra Camp, four years after it was axed from the schedule.

The new series of the jungle show will be returning to next month and there is good news for fans of Extra Camp as ITV2 will be airing a new series, in conjunction with the action in the main show. Once again, there will be several hosts for the sister show, which will bring the inside gossip from the camp as well extra features of the celebrity campmates.

The last time there was a spin-off from the main show was in 2020, when hosted a version of Extra Camp during the Daily Drop on ITV Hub. The spin-off had semi-regular hots of and , with former Queen of the Jungle, Scarlett Moffatt, also spending time fronting the show.

has reported that a spokeswoman for the ITV show has revealed the intentions for the return of the spin-off. She said: "Since Extra Camp came off air four years ago the conversation and engagement around I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! continues to grow across all social media platforms. This new ITV2 companion show will bring together all those conversations in one place, to give viewers the ultimate IAC destination for all of their news, gossip and behind the scenes fun around TV’s biggest entertainment show."

The media outlet has also reported that a source close to the show has said that the potential return of Extra Camp has caused a "huge buzz" and everyone is looking forward to the "mischief" that the show brings. The source has indicated the the name of the show will be changed and there are "lots of names in the mix to host."

Among the names being linked to making an appearance in the Australian jungle camp in the main show are former judge and singer, Tulisa, star Oti Mabuse, and former Love Islander and professional boxer , who show bosses will hope he will spill the beans on his split from Molly-Mae Hague. star , who has plated Tyrone Dobbs on the cobbles since 1998, is also mooted as making his way into the jungle.

There has been reports that I'm A Celeb bosses are also considering the use of medication to keep the campmates from feeling hungry. The fad weight loss treatment, commonly called which is in fact a drug used to help people with diabetes, is set to be given to any celebrity with a prescription for the drug. Which could put Ant and Dec in a difficult situation, with the celebs feeling less "hangry".

Contestants on would have to have a prescription for the medicine, which has become a popular way for celebrities to lose weight despite its intended use for diabetes, to get it while in camp. This rule isn't really new though and is actually in keeping with ITV’s rules on medicines rather than being a new rule for the so-called wonder drug.

All participants taking part must fully disclose their medical history.
