ITV airs first look at I'm A Celebrity as Coleen Rooney set to make huge TV return

The I'm A Celebrity countdown has officially begun as ITV dropped the first glimpse of the 2024 series.

Geordie duo and made their return in the first trailer drop, which aired for the first time on ITV1 tonight - and fans couldn't be more excited about it.

While the new trailer teased a very exciting series, bosses have yet to share the exact date that the iconic show will return. However, the series usually airs in the middle of November, and will likely return at the same time this year.

In the first look at the highly-anticipated series, which will feature WAG , Ant and Dec are gearing up to welcome a whole host of celebrity guests into Australian jungle.

Ant and Dec are seen in a 'test facility' as the Geordie duo tease a huge twist in the new series. The pair are seen wearing long white lab coats before Ant slammed down on an emergency red button as the pair confirmed that the brand-new series is 'coming soon'.

While the full celebrity line-up is yet to be confirmed, bosses have announced that Coleen, 38, who is the wife of football star , will be heading Down Under following a very tumultuous couple of years following her court showdown with .

Naturally, fans are hoping that the mum-of-four will open up about the court case and share some more juicy details from the shocking trial.

While have previously splashed out on the likes of Caitlyn Jenner and even parted with a hefty £1.5million for , fee is set to be extremely higher.

Bosses are believed to be praying that Coleen will share everything about her husband, former and Everton legend Wayne. Liverpudlian-born Coleen will head out ot next month and will take part in the famous Bushtucker Trials as she competes to earn stars in order to feed her campmates.

"I'm A Celeb bosses have pulled off a huge coup ­getting Coleen for the jungle this year and the team are thrilled to have her on board," a source told .

Coleen and her sons are said to be huge fans of the programme and often tune in each year to see a variety of celebs swap their lavish lifestyles for a more economic approach, living in the Australian jungle.

"Coleen has a huge fanbase and she won massive plaudits for her classy handling of the Wagatha Christie case. She's excited to show fans a different side to her and prove she can survive without her creature comforts," the source went on to tell the outlet.

Bosses believe that the former telly star will be very popular with viewers and will triumph over Rebekah Vardy once more.

Meanwhile, a TV source told the Sunday : "She's in the jungle and she's going to set the record straight on Wagatha. This is a major coup For ITV. The kids are growing up now. The time is right for Coleen. She’s got the potential to go all the way and win this."

Coleen hinted at her shock reality TV debut last month in an interview with the Sunday Mirror. Asked what upcoming projects she had on the horizon, she teased: "You'll be seeing a lot more of me soon."
