Madonna's brother Christopher Ciccone's cause of death revealed after death aged 63

The cause of Madonna's younger brother has been confirmed.

The 63-year-old passed away peacefully in Michigan as he was surrounded by his husband Ray Thacker and their loved ones. And his cause of death has been revealed as , according to Christopher's obituary.

Christopher's death comes just over a week after the siblings' stepmother, died on September 24. She too, died after a brief but aggressive battle with cancer.

and Christopher worked closely throughout the Queen of Pop's career. However, they had a huge falling out in 2008 as Christopher released a bombshell book titled Life with My Sister Madonna.

Christopher had previously worked in the industry as a designer, artist and director as he organised concert tours, music videos as well as films. According to a source close to the Christopher said: "He was an extremely talented man with a wicked sense of humour."

In the book, Christopher claims Madonna's film director ex-husband, Guy Ritchie, "drove at him" and admitted they "never got along." He also alleged the singer's relationship with Guy was like a "death knell for my relationship with her."

He went o to say the Vogue songstress was a "middle class girl who propagates the story that she landed in Time Square with just a pair of ballet shoes and $35 to her name." However, his bombshell claims didn't stop that and he added her narrative is "pure mythology and the further she progresses, the more mythological her life story becomes."

Despite the huge fallout, by 2012, it's thought the siblings had reconciled. In an interview at the time with Evening Standard, Christopher said: "(We are) on a perfectly personable level right now. As far as I’m concerned, we’re good. We are in contact with each other, although I haven’t seen her for a long time. We’re back to being a brother and sister. I don’t work for her, and it’s better this way."

He also gushed over how proud he was of his older sister. "I couldn’t be more proud of her," he continued. "She is a force to be reckoned with. Does she have Barbra Streisand’s voice? No. Can she dance like Martha Graham? Probably not. But the combination of her abilities has made her great, and left a huge legacy for her, and through her, for me. So yeah, God bless her."

Christopher is survived by sister Madonna and their siblings Martin, Paula, Melanie, Jennifer and Mario, as well as their father and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
