As the hits, Brits are trying to find creative ways to keep warm without cranking up the heating all day and hiking up bills.
The recent price cap announcement means energy prices have increased again for households across the country, despite falling twice earlier this year. Luckily, this easy heating trick should make your money stretch even further - and it's cheaper than a sausage roll.
Insulation expert Michael Wray of said you can keep your home toasty despite the rise in bills just by adding foil to the back of your radiators and, in turn, could slash up to £200 off your heating bills.

He advised: "Adding large pieces of foil, which can be purchased as little as £1, to the back of your radiator, will reflect your radiator's heat back into the room. The hack is even cheaper if you have aluminium foil already in your kitchen."
The science behind this trick is that aluminium foil is an 'excellent' heat reflector, so when it's placed behind a radiator, the foil will reflect the heat back into the room rather than letting it escape out through the walls. The foil traps the heat, which will make you home feel warmer and reduce the need for excessive heating.
Michaels step by step guide to the tin foil hack:
Find a full roll of aluminium foil, a ruler, and a pencil.
Carefully measure the height and width of your radiator.
Using the measurements, cut strips of aluminium foil to fit behind the radiator
Place the foil strips behind the radiator, ensuring they are securely attached to the wall. Use adhesive tape to keep it in place.
There are many ways you can help save on your heating bills over winter, as well as using tin foil. Michael also suggested homeowners should make sure their entire home is well-insulated to prevent heat loss through walls, windows and doors. He also advised to Caulk and weatherstrip around windows and doors to help prevent draughts.
If there is sunlight, the pro suggested keeping curtains and blinds open to allow the sunlight in and naturally warm your home. Also, investing in a smart thermostat to automate heating and cooling settings based on your schedule and preferences can help battle rising costs.
