Sean 'Diddy' Comb's mum has released a bombshell statement after his arrest.

Janice Smalls Combs released the statement in defence of her son as he faces allegations of sex trafficking and sexual abuse. She said that "as a mother" she is "saddened" by what her son has been accused of.

She then explained that she finds it "heartbreaking" what Combs is going through. Janice said: "I come to you today as a mother that is devastated and profoundly saddened by the allegations made against my son, .

"It is heartbreaking to see my son judged not for the truth, but for a narrative created out of lies. To bear witness to what seems to be like a public lynching of my son before he has had the opportunity to prove his innocence is a pain too unbearable to put into words. Like every human being, my son deserves to have this day in court, to finally share his side, and to prove his innocence."

Janice then mentioned that she realises her son has made mistakes in the past which referenced footage released in 2016 by CNN where he appeared to assault his then-girlfriend Cassie in a Los Angeles hotel. Janice said: "Not being entirely straightforward about one issue does not mean my son is guilty of the repulsive allegations and the grave charges levelled against him."

Comb was arrested in September for sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has denied the charged and has been denied bail twice. He is currently staying in Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn until his trial.

Combs is accused of sexually abusing 120 victims including, among 25 children, a boy aged nine, says a US lawyer. Tony Buzbee alleges the hip-hop mogul abused the boy who was expecting to land a record deal.

Last week, one of Combs' lawyers, Erica Wolff, broke her silence to address the 'meritless allegation' and say that Mr Combs 'emphatically and categorically denies' the accusations. She said: "As Mr Combs’ legal team has emphasized, he cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus."

Speaking to TMZ, she added: "That said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors. He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation."

The new allegations come after he was arrested in New York. The 14-page indictment levelled against Combs paints a stark picture, detailing allegations that he "abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him to fulfil his sexual desires, protect his reputation and conceal his conduct" across decades. Prosecutors also charged him with "creating a criminal enterprise" where members and associates perpetrated crimes such as "sex trafficking, forced labour, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice".
