What is a Card Network
It is necessary to have the right card network to make banking work easier and withdraw cash as soon as possible. Just as we choose the right mobile network for proper calling in mobile, card network also works in the same way. Visa, Mastercard, and Rupay are also card network or payment network companies. These companies provide a cashless payment system to the users.

India's payment network is RuPay. Whereas, Visa and Mastercard are foreign companies. All these companies provide different facilities to their users. Visa is the largest payment network in the world. After this comes MasterCard. Let us understand about these three payment card networks.

Visa Card
You must have often seen Visa written on the debit card. Visa is the world's largest payment network company. It is accepted in every country. Visa has many cards, out of which Classic Card is the basic card. This card is replaced with time and cash withdrawal can also be done through it in an emergency. On the other hand, Visa's Gold and Platinum Cards offer many more facilities apart from the facilities available in Classic Card. Travel assistance, global customer assistance, and global ATM network services are available on these cards.

MasterCard
MasterCard also has many cards. Out of these, Standard Debit Cards, Enhanced Debit Cards, and World Debit MasterCard are quite popular. This card is a standard debit card available for opening a bank account. Please note that MasterCard does not issue any card on its own. It has partnerships with many companies around the world. With MasterCard also, the user gets many facilities like a Visa card.

RuPay Card
RuPay card is India's payment network. This card has been launched by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Many cards like - Classic, Platinum, and Select Cards are issued in RuPay. This card is accepted only in India.

How different are the three cards
Visa and MasterCard have higher operation fees. On the other hand, the charge on a RuPay card is very low.

Visa and MasterCard are accepted in every country of the world. Whereas RuPay cards can be used only in India.

In Visa and MasterCard, the bank has to pay a charge every quarter. On the other hand, no charge has to be paid to the bank on a RuPay card.

RuPay card is India's payment network, so all banks are included in it. On the other hand, small and cooperative banks are not included in Visa MasterCard.

Why is the RuPay card better
The features of Visa, MasterCard, and RuPay cards make these three very different from each other. If you make payments only in India, then a Rupay card is a better option for you. Whereas Visa and MasterCard are very good options for payments abroad.
