One man has died and a further three people are in hospital after a horror explosion ripped through a block of flats in .
Fire crews and specialist rescue teams rushed to the scene on Kellie Place, Alloa, last night to find the property completely destroyed. Images taken in the aftermath of the blast shows the building with a completely caved in roof and entire top floor in pieces as grey smoke billows into the air.
Police are currently investigating what may have caused the property to suddenly explode. Police Scotland's Sergeant Neill Drummond said: "We are still working to establish the full circumstances of what happened at this property, however, we can confirm that one male has passed away.
"Our inquiries to confirm his identity and provide his next of kin with all the necessary support they may require are ongoing.
"We are grateful to the local community for their continued cooperation and support of our investigation, and we'll provide more information in due course."
