The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a major attack on the Hezbollah headquarters in Dahieh, a southern suburb of Beirut, late Friday night, in which Nasrallah was killed. 28 September: On Saturday, the IDF announced the death of Nasrallah. A few hours later, Hezbollah also confirmed the death of its leader. Nasrallah became the Secretary General of Hezbollah in 1992 at the age of 30. Over the past 32 years, he made Hezbollah a major force not only in Lebanon but also in the Middle East. He became Israel's enemy number one.
