Mike Tyson revealed what he thinks of Jake Paul as reason he pulled out of fight emerges

Boxing legend admitted he likes but still wants to hurt him in the ring. The 58-year-old heavyweight icon is gearing up to face the Ohio-born internet sensation, who is 31 years younger than him, on November 15.

Despite , 90,000 people are expected to flock to the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, to watch. Instead of an exhibition bout, their clash will , giving Paul more incentive to knock out the ex-world champion.

The event was previously delayed due to , leading medical professionals to advise against the clash with the ex-Disney actor. Soon after the boxing great admitted to allowing his passion for vaping and his diet to go out of control, Tyson spoke highly of Paul.

Tyson opened up about his feelings towards the controversial former YouTuber during an interview on . He said: "I like him but in this particular fight he has to go. I don't look at this like it's going to be an easy right. This guy is going to be prepared, but I'm prepared for it sure."

When asked if he believes Paul is intimidated by him, Tyson added: "Well, that's part of fighting, I'm nervous too. But the closer it gets to the fight, the least nervous I get. I'm training extremely hard.

"I start at 11am and I might leave the gym at 5pm. When I finish doing my boxing sessions, I'll get a massage for an hour and then I go into strength and conditioning."

His recent remarks are in stark contrast to his previous admission that he was not at peak fitness in the build-up to their original date. He told that he "can't escape the vapes" and that he was "doing too much bad food and stuff, and I got sick".

Given that the match will be added to his current fighting record of 50 wins, 44 knockouts and six defeats, many believe this fight could impact his legacy. However, Tyson is unfazed.

He said: "I didn't take this fight for legacy. I think legacy really, to my perspective, legacy is ego. Who gives a f*** how people think about them when they are gone? I'm dead. I can't value off what somebody might think about me when I'm dead, so it means nothing to me."
