The Repair Shop stars Julie Tatchell and Amanda Middleditch where left fighting back tears as a guest broke down after reuniting with her cherished item.

During Wednesday's episode of the BBC hit show the expert craftspeople were back as they attempted to fix a variety of cherished items.

One item left Julie and Amanda emotional. Sarah Ruffle, who was accompanied by her son JAmes, walked into the famous barn with a wish for her childhood teddy bear to be restored back to life.

Sarah revealed that her beloved bear has been a constant companion throughout her health struggles as she opened up and explained that she was diagnosed with Spina bifida and Hydrocephlus when she was a baby.

The stuffed animal accompanied her to the hospital since she was young as at the time her parents were unable to stay with her. But now the bear shows significant wear and tear as Julie's pointed out that it didn't have any eyes and was being held together by tape and bandages.

Speaking about why the bear meant so much to her, Sarah explained: "He was given to me when I was a month old and he has been with me ever since. My sister is 15 months older than me so mum and dad were unable to stay with me in hospital."

She added: "Where I couldn't share things with mum and dad because they would get upset I would share them with Ted and it's just my comfort."

Toy restorers Julie and Amanda know they have a huge task on their hands as they went straight to work their magic to ensure Teddy can continue bringing comfort to Sarah for years to come.

Later, Sarah and James arrived at the iconic barn to pick up the teddy bear and as her beloved item was revealed Sarah couldn't contain her emotions as she burst out in tears.

Sarah hugged her bear as she went on to say: "I don't think I'm going to put him down. Thank you." James added: "Thank you so much for all you've done."

It was clear that the moment left Julies and Amanda emotional as the pair got choked up and gave each other a hand prompting Amanda to ask her: "Are you ok?"

Speaking to the camera Sarah was in tears as she added: "It feels priceless to have him back. He has always been my strength."
