Pune: An accident occurred early today in Pune's Mundhwa area when a food delivery executive, riding a two-wheeler, was struck by a luxury car. The incident took place around 2 am. Following the collision, the driver of the car fled the scene, but the police quickly arrested him. Pune's Additional Commissioner of Police, Manoj Patil, confirmed that the officers are conducting further investigations into the accident. This is not the first time such a high-end car has been involved in a hit-and-run case in Pune. On the night of May 18, 2024, the 17-year-old son of a wealthy Pune businessman spent Rs 69,000 on alcohol while celebrating his Class 12 results with two friends. After the party, around 2 AM, the minor drove home in his unregistered Porsche Tycoon, which had not had its registration fee paid to the government since March.At the same time, two tech professionals, Anish and Ashwini, were returning home from a party in Kalyani Nagar. As they rode their two-wheeler, they were struck by the Porsche, which was reportedly speeding at 200 km per hour. The impact was so severe that Anish and Ashwini were thrown several feet away, dying instantly.Passersby managed to catch the young men in the Porsche, and the police arrived quickly, taking them to the Yerwada police station for further action.With inputs from ANI
