The actress, known for her strong female characters in Bulbbul, Laila Majnu, and Qala, faced criticism for playing "bhabhi no 2." I was not happy. But I suppose that’s the side effect of being in a mainstream film,” Dimri said on The Ranveer Allahbadia Show.Recalling how it took a toll on her mental health, she shared, “Bahot royi thi. Animal ke baad toh I was really (upset)... Do-teen din toh mai kaafi royi thi kyunki mujhe aadat nahi hai na yeh sab cheezon ki. Ki criticism face karna padega aur is level pe karna padega. Dimaag khraab hogaya tha ke kya likh rahe hain log. Matlabb kuch bhi!”(Loose translation: I cried a lot. After Animal, I was really (upset)... I sobbed for two-three days because I am not used to all this. I was not ready for the criticism. I never imagined I would have to face it and it will have to be done at this level. You know what you've done. You know how you've achieved what you've achieved.' And I think after that, I was fine. Once I started understanding things better, things changed,” she added. Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress is gearing up for her upcoming film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. It releases in theatres this Friday (October 11).
