Donald Trump stated in a media address while touring areas in Georgia affected by Hurricane Helene that he is working with tech billionaire, Elon Musk, to provide internet to the affected areas using Musk's Starlink satellite internet system. However, despite Trump's claim that Starlink internet is yet to be deployed, the White House said that it has already deployed dozens of Starlink satellites in North Carolina, while 100 more are in transit for other areas. "I just spoke to Elon," Trump said. "We want to get Starlink hooked up because they have no communication whatsoever and Elon will always come through. We are going to try and get the Starlink in there as soon as possible."Following Trump's claim, a White House spokesperson put out a statement on social media stating that Starlink satellites are already being deployed. The spokesperson cited a statement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) that 40 Starlink satellites are already available in North Carolina.
