Honda SP 125: A Versatile Commuter with Impressive Specs and Features

Send Push

Honda SP 125 turns out to be one of the versatile commuters with great style, impressive features, and modern specifications. It provides remarkable reliability and good fuel efficiency and can easily fit to serve daily town commutes. Whether you require specifications, performance, or affordability, this Honda SP 125 has all that a bike enthusiast would look for at that price.

Honda SP 125 Specifications

Here is a 124cc air-cooled Honda SP 125, powered at 10.72 bhp at 7500 rpm and max torque at 10.9 Nm at 6000 rpm. This bike uses a 5-speed manual gear with 1 down and four up shifting pattern.

Such a form of a chain drive transmission type controls the forces produced in the engine. This gives a perfect ride while maintaining adequate performance during riding conditions and acceleration variations.

It has a claimed mileage of 65 km. Fitted with an 11.2-litre fuel tank, SP 125 has a pretty impressive riding range of 728 kilometers on a full tank. The bike goes up to a top speed of 100 mph, so it shouldn’t have issues related to city commutes or longer rides. And once again, the compression ratio is 10.0:1, which ensures effective fuel combustion.

Features of Honda SP 125

The Honda SP 125 now sports a new digital instrument console that consists of a digital speedometer, odometer, and fuel gauge. More than that, the headlamp sports two digital trip meters along with indicator lights for gear position, low fuel, low oil, and service reminders.

Light options: An LED headlamp allows one to better light up the road at night but carries older halogen bulbs for the taillight and turn signals. It comes equipped with a hazard warning indicator for safety in an unexpected situation that might tag along with the ride.

The bike has an option between electric and kick start to ignite the engine so one can choose what is more convenient at the moment. Honda SP 125 lacks any sophisticated features like GPS navigation, cruise control, or traction control. But it compensates by providing the basics like a pillion seat, grab rail, and footrest so that one gets comfortable while riding.

Price and Models of Honda SP 125

The Honda SP 125 can be had in three variants and catered to three preferences. When talking about the ex-showroom prices, it begins from a humdrum base model called the SP 125 Drum variant at ₹87,383. The same model can be availed with drum brakes and alloy wheels. If you want the added braking power, then the SP 125 Disc model is offered at ₹91,383 on the ex-showroom stand with disc brake and alloy wheels.

Then there’s the SP 125 Sports Edition at ₹91,498 ex-showroom. Again, the disc brakes and alloy wheel configuration are the same as the disc variant but in a more sporting nature. On-road prices will depend on local taxes and insurance, but should come a bit higher than that.
