Recently, the iPhone 16 saw a starting price of Rs 79,900 for the 128GB variant. Though a Reddit user claimed that he managed to purchase iPhone 16 with the high storage capacity of 256GB for around Rs 27,000, many users were amused to see that. While this model originally costs Rs 89,900, here’s how the user availed it with such a huge discount.

Here’s how the Reddit user was able to get an iPhone 16 for Rs 27,000
  • A post by Reddit user Wild_Muscle3506 had some detailed information regarding buying an iPhone 16 for Rs 26,970, which is a significantly lower amount compared to the retail price of Rs 89,900.
  • Significantly, he could save Rs 62,930 in the process by redeeming the reward points that he had generated from HDFC Infinia credit card.
  • For this discount he said he had piled up a humongous amount of rewards in his account as he had made major purchases.
  • He also responded to another user’s comment who asked whether he regretted using another card saying that he used his Amazon Pay card while getting jewelry as Amazon was giving 1 percent cashback on such purchases. He thought Infinia would not return points back in jewelry but after realizing that it did he.

The iPhone 16 starts at Rs 79,900 and extends up to Rs 1,09,900, depending on the variant. The camera setup in the new iPhone is vertical now instead of diagonal; it is claimed to be 50 percent stronger compared to previous generations. The new iPhone comes with the new Action button and Camera Control button and, obviously, the A18 chipset.

And while the newly announced iPhone 16 series will be available at the initial price and nothing more except for reward points and bank offers, the iPhone 15 series has just gone live on Flipkart at a discounted rate.
