Send Push

The Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) 2024 announcement on the release date for One UI 7 occurred in San Jose, USA. It is referring to the stable update because beta rollout and testing will first happen. If you are ready to have the newest features a few weeks ahead of others, you’ll be interested in knowing how to sign up for the One UI 7 beta program below. Now let’s see the cause of delay of One UI 7 and stable One UI 6 based on Android 14, rolled out in November 2023.

One UI 7 release date: stable and beta

At SDC 2024, Samsung said the company will “release next year with the new Galaxy” the stable version of One UI 7. So, in 2025 with the Galaxy S25 series launch.

The beta version will roll out by the end of this year for the first time. As soon as it rolls out, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be the initial one to receive the update, followed by the Galaxy S23 series. This is not limited to those aforementioned devices; Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 holders also get a One UI 7 beta update within this year.

How to join One UI 7 beta program

Before proceeding with the setup, ensure that your phone’s data is also saved because, for sure, the beta version may still have some bugs. Also ensure that your device has enough charge, sufficient storage, and internet connection that can support the download.

Now, here’s what you need to do:

Step 1: Download the Samsung Members application from Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy Store. Now sign in using your Samsung Account.

Step 2: Tap on Notice and then tap on Registration for One UI Beta Program.

Step 3: You’ll need to fill out an application form, which you could then submit. That’s it.

Note, as of now, the beta version of One UI 7 has not been rolled out so, at present, you may not see this registration option. But, when it is released, you will be notified from the Samsung Members app.

Why One UI 7 so late? New features?

Although Samsung did not clarify the reason behind it, it said at SDC that it’s working on “seamlessly integrating Galaxy AI features into daily activities”.

A moderator of Samsung’s Korean community explained recently to a user that “many discussions are still ongoing due to new features, thus causing the delay”.

Samsung only talked about the One UI 7 topic at SDC. The company added to the previously mentioned dates and said One UI 7 will feature “a simple, impactful, and emotive design with more ways to seamlessly integrate Galaxy AI features into daily activities.”

One more thing; the company also suggested that “it will bring the software experience of its major product lines-from mobile devices to TVs and home appliances-under the name One UI next year.”
