Dental College and Hospital Recruitment 2024: Associate and Assistant Professor Vacancies

The ESIC Dental College and Hospital, Kalaburagi, has announced a walk-in interview for the of Associate Professors and Assistant Professors on a contractual basis for one year, which may be extended for up to two more years based on satisfactory performance or until regular faculty are appointed.

• Pay: ₹1,56,024 per month (consolidated)

  • BDS (Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery) from an Indian university.
  • MDS (Master’s in Dental Surgery) in the relevant specialty, recognized by the Government of India.
  • Experience: Four years of teaching experience after post-graduation and fulfillment of publication requirements.

2. Assistant Professor

• Total Vacancies: 5
  • Prosthodontics: 1 post
  • Conservative & Endodontics: 1 post
  • Public Health Dentistry: 1 post
  • Physiology: 1 post
  • Oral Maxillofacial Surgery: 1 post
• Reservation: 2 UR, 1 SC, 1 ST, 1 EWS
• Pay: ₹1,34,046 per month (consolidated)
• Qualification:
  • BDS (Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery) from an Indian university.
  • MDS in the relevant specialty, recognized by the Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria

• : should not exceed 63 years of age as of the date of the interview. Age relaxations apply for reserved categories as per central government norms.
• Caste Certificate: Candidates applying under reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) must submit the appropriate certificates. OBC candidates must belong to the non-creamy layer, as per the Central List.
• Experience: Four years of teaching experience for Associate Professors. For Assistant Professors, experience is based on alone.

Contract Terms

• The appointment is on a contractual basis for one year, extendable for up to two more years based on performance.
• Either party can terminate the contract with a one-month notice or by providing one month’s salary in lieu.
• A Caution Deposit equal to one month’s salary is required at the time of joining, refundable after six months.

Selection Process

• The selection is based on the walk-in interview, to be held on 18th October 2024.
• Candidates scoring 50% or more in the interview will be considered for selection.
• Final selection will be based solely on the interview, and selected candidates are expected to join immediately upon receiving the offer letter.
