Honor is reportedly working on a new smartphone called the Honor X5B, which is expected to be a 4G LTE device. This goes against the current trend of most budget smartphones offering 5G connectivity. The phone’s imminent launch is suggested by its appearance on the IMDA and NBTC certification platforms, where the model number and marketing name were confirmed.

The Honor X-series typically falls in the premium mid-range segment, including models like the Honor X6b, Honor X7b, Honor X8b, and Honor X9b, which are positioned below the main Honor numbered series. There’s also speculation that a 5G version of the Honor X5B could be introduced alongside the 4G model.
