10 Arrested, Including 7 Women, in Jaipur for Defrauding Clients Under the Pretext of Online Escort Services

Jaipur, September 29 (Udaipur Kiran): The Karni Vihar, Murlipura police station, and the DST West together cracked an online escort service fraud in which the gang was cheating clients. The police have arrested ten of whom seven are women; some others escaped and the police team is on a search mission for them.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur West Amit Kumar said, “A joint operation was conducted in collaboration by the police of Karni Vihar, Murlipura police station and DST West in which Neha Singh, Anjuli Tokbi, Jaya Vishwas, Resham Begum, Shweta Kumari, Radhika Sharma, Julekha Waheed Mansuri, Soriful, Sonu Kumar Bairag and Vivek Dhabai, all females were apprehended who are part of the gang involved in the online escort service fraud”. The arrested accused are from UP, Deepapur, Tripura, Assam, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Alwar, and Jaipur. Apart from this, police were seeking Kamlesh Sharma, who resides in Jaipur, Deepak Meena, who hails from Jaipur, Pradhan Gurjar, who belongs to Jaipur, Mukesh Chaudhary, who is a resident of Nagaur, Kailash Chand, and many others, who had run away from the spot when the incidence had taken place.

Further Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jaipur West, Amit Kumar said that on September 27, boys and girls who came in Swift car under the guise of booking escort service had beaten two boys severely after taking money. The police admitted one youth to the ICU of a private hospital whose condition was critical. After this, a police team was deployed to search for the miscreants. There was suspicion on 200-feet bypass Ajmer Road regarding this matter. Places were searched on September 28. It was found that people named Kamlesh Sharma and Deepak Meena bring girls from other states to Jaipur for the work of booking escort services. They also loot people along with escort services. On this, two policemen were sent as fake customers. After contacting on the mobile number, a photo was sent.

When a deal was finalized with the fake customers, the accused brought girls from a hotel on Gandhi Path in a Swift car. In the course of discussion, the miscreants snatched money from fake customers and escaped. When the police team chased them, the miscreants tried to attack them fatally. The accused miscreants tried to climb their Swift car on the private number car of police. The police opened fire in the air. Some miscreants ran away after damaging the police car. It was seen that the Swift car of the miscreants was lying abandoned on the 200-foot bypass. The police took the car in their custody. Then, Karni Vihar police station resorted to raiding the Hotel Umrao Haveli. In this hotel, manager Vivek Dhabai and receptionist Sonu Kumar Bairag were interrogated. It was found during interrogation that the leader Kamlesh Sharma and Deepak Sharma, of the gang, take the bookings in the name of escort services. Kailash Chand, Pradhan Gurjar, and Mukesh Chaudhary bring girls taken outside from being drivers. In the search of the hotel, seven girls seized along with their companions found in different rooms. Besides these, the police team also caught the hotel manager and receptionist and took them to the police station.

The DCP said that the police raided Hotel Umrao Haveli in Karni Vihar and caught all the miscreants of the gang. The gang had turned Hotel Umrao Haveli into a den for online escort services. Vivek Dhabai: Hotel manager and Sonu Kumar Bairag: Receptionist who used to take care of all the arrangements with respect to food and lodging. The police in this case have arrested seven young women. These include Soriful (22) who hails from Morigaon, Assam, Sonu Kumar Bairag (25) from Rajgarh, Alwar, and Vivek Dhabai (38) from Mandawa, Jhunjhunu. Kamlesh Sharma is the gang leader and lives in Kamala Nehru Nagar Bhankrota, along with his associates Deepak Meena, Pradhan Gurjar, Mukesh Chaudhary, Kailash Chand and some other absconding associates are on the lookout.
