Udaipur : Hindustan Zinc Limited (NSE: HINDZINC), India’s largest and the world’s second-largest integrated zinc producer, is proud to support and co-organize the Udaipur chapter of Srajan The Spark on October 6 in Zinc City, Udaipur. Srajan, an international organization promoting heritage through instrumental music, ghazals, and classical vocals, will honour renowned singer Nitin Mukesh with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The evening will culminate in a soulful musical performance by the maestro himself. The event will also recognize Rajasthani ghazal legends Padma Ustad Ahmed Hussain and Mohammed Hussain with the Hindustan Zinc-Srajan Lifetime Achievement Award.

This initiative, hosted in Zinc City Udaipur, is Hindustan Zinc’s latest effort to nurture arts and culture at the grassroots level, preserving and promoting India’s rich heritage. Zinc City symbolizes Udaipur’s deep connection with zinc spanning over 2500 years and aims to position the city as a leading destination for celebrating India’s vibrant culture. During the press conference, Rajesh Khamesra, Apex President of Srajan The Spark, shared that Nitin Mukesh, son of legendary singer Mukesh, has taken India’s musical legacy to international shores garnering recognition worldwide.

Established 10 years ago, Srajan The Spark has opened 14 chapters across India and 4 internationally, promoting Indian music globally. The organization continues to provide a platform for both renowned and emerging local artists. The organization’s chief patron is retired IPS officer Prasanna Kumar Khamesra.

Adding his thoughts at the press conference, Arun Misra, CEO Hindustan Zinc Limited, said, “Rajasthan is renowned for its culture, traditions, and heritage, and initiatives like Srajan The Spark further promote this legacy. This initiative also serves as a way to celebrate Zinc City, which has been central to India’s socio-economic and cultural growth for thousands of years. Hindustan Zinc has always supported the promotion of India’s cultural heritage through art and music, and this event is a significant step towards preserving our rich cultural traditions.”

Dinesh Kataria, President of Srajan The Spark, highlighted that this event, sponsored by Hindustan Zinc, will honour two social workers and business leaders who have spread the essence of Rajasthani culture globally. Prakash Jain, Chairman of Inspira Entertainment India Ltd., will receive the Excellence Award for Business Visionary Achievement, while Pankaj P. Shah, CMD of PG Foils Ltd., will be honoured with the Amir Khusro Business Icon Award.

Apex Secretary Abbas Ali Bandukwala added that this year’s Arts Promoter Awards will also include the Srajan VD Paluskar Award for TV and film actor Hemant Pandey, the Omkarnath Thakur Award for renowned violinist Deepak Pandit, the Nandalal Bose Award for producer, writer, and artist Kajal Suri, the Master Madan Award for TV and film actor Syed Salim Afzal Zaidi, and the Khemchand Prakash Award for Rajasthani folk singer Seema Mishra.
